HORIZONS REGIONAL COUNCIL

Travel from Tasman Sea to Pacific Ocean and home in one day on a trip which has been a favourite for years. Grant Cooper from Horizons Regional Council will be our guide as we travel from the Manawatu Gorge through Pongaroa to Akitio, a delightful southern Hawke's Bay beach community. Learn about the land formations and the history from 70 Mile Bush to coastal sheep stations. Return via Weber and Dannevirke.  There is time for a swim at Akitio during the lunch break.
