WHANGANUI FOREST AND BIRD

Kapiti Island is a 20 minute launch ride from Paraparaumu.  You will learn the Kapiti story from farm to forest and marine sanctuary and enjoy the abundance of native birds on this pest-free island.  May involve 3-5 hours walking on beach and lowland trails; if active and fit, you can climb the steep 521m Tuteremoana.
